How many bathrooms are there really?

There are three en-suite showers (one in each bedroom with a sink), but only one separate toilet for the entire apartment. Many guests with 6 people found this challenging, especially since the toilet is right next to the living area. For 4 people or fewer, it's generally fine.

Start the day in De Manteling: walk by Kasteel Westhove and visit the Terra Maris museum in Oostkapelle. In the museum garden you can climb the motte, and inside you’ll find exhibitions about Zeeland’s nature.

For a beach day with kids, Oostkapelle’s beach is a great choice. Settle in at Strandpaviljoen Berkenbosch for coffee or lunch and plan a shell-hunting round along the waterline at the end of the afternoon.

Take a trip to Veere and board with Rederij Dijkhuizen for a cruise on the Veerse Meer. Finish at Museum Veere in De Schotse Huizen, then stroll along the Kaai past the historic facades.

Neighborhood

Oostkapelle sits on Walcheren, between beach, dunes and the estates of De Manteling. Here you’ll find Kasteel Westhove and the Terra Maris museum with its landscape garden, and a little further east the Oranjezon nature reserve with dune valleys and fallow deer.

On the wide sandy beach you can choose a peaceful beach day or a walk along the waterline. Cycle through the woods of De Manteling to Domburg, or follow dikes and polder roads towards Veere. Around the Veerse Meer you can sail or SUP; small beaches and rentals are in Veere and Vrouwenpolder.

In the mood for a city vibe? Middelburg offers historic streets, the Abdij and shops. Distances are easy: Domburg about 4 km, Veere about 9 km and Middelburg about 12 km. From Oostkapelle these places are close enough for an afternoon or day trip.

Access

You can park for free at the accommodation or on the street in Oostkapelle. Pets are not allowed. All further practical info, like directions, parking instructions and the key safe, is in your Boarding Pass.

Inside, there’s a calm, light atmosphere with contemporary colours – exactly the sort of place where you can relax after a day at the beach.

The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with, amongst other things, a coffee machine, kettle, microwave, oven, hob, plates and cutlery, wine glasses, cookware, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. Right next to it is the dining table, spacious enough for breakfast, dinner or a quick game together.

You’ll sleep in three separate bedrooms, each with its own wardrobe and bed linen. The layout with three bathrooms works well if you’re travelling with a group, as everyone can follow their own routine.

The bathrooms are functionally fitted out and offer exactly what you need to start or end the day feeling refreshed. The apartment also features a sauna, a lovely spot to warm up and completely unwind.

For longer stays, a washing machine and tumble dryer are available.

Outside, there is a balcony with seating, where you can start the day in peace or relax and reflect later in the evening.
